David Ellis was featured in the New York Times twice for the haiku poetry that he paints on driftwood as well as his first poetry book, Beach in City Island, and his second poetry book, Honey in Harlem. David Ellis was born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY. He fell in love with poetry in college. David has been working in Harlem as a teacher for more than 20 years.
